It is scrap derived from worn turning tools, cutters, drills, etc., for which a chemical composition is as follows: C 0.75-1.4% W to 18%, Mo to 10%, V to 4%, Co to 10%.

Examples: SW7M; SW18.

Cemented carbide scrap – cutting elements scrapped (the form of triangle, square and others). Cemented carbide is a tool material obtained from metal carbides, using methods of powder metallurgy. Very hard and resistant to abrasion.
